وَٱلَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنكُمْ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزْوَٰجًا يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا  ۖ فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا فَعَلْنَ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِنَّ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ  ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ

вəəльлəз̃иинə йутəвəффəунə миŋŋкум вəйəз̃əруунə əзвəəджəй-йəтəрōббəснə би`əŋŋфусиhиннə əрбə'əтə əшhуриу-вə'əшрō, фə`из̃əə бəлəґнə əджəлəhуннə фəлəə джунəəhə 'əлэйкум фиимəə фə'əльнə фии əŋŋфусиhиннə би-ль-мə'рууф, вəл-лаhу бимəə тə'мəлююнə хōбиир

As for those of you who die leaving wives, they shall wait by themselves four months and ten days, and when they complete their term, there will be no sin upon you in respect of what they may do with themselves in accordance with honourable norms. And Allah is well aware of what you do.

وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا عَرَّضْتُم بِهِۦ مِنْ خِطْبَةِ ٱلنِّسَآءِ أَوْ أَكْنَنتُمْ فِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ  ۚ عَلِمَ ٱللَّهُ أَنَّكُمْ سَتَذْكُرُونَهُنَّ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُوَاعِدُوهُنَّ سِرًّا إِلَّآ أَن تَقُولُواْ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوفًا  ۚ وَلَا تَعْزِمُواْ عُقْدَةَ ٱلنِّكَاحِ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ ٱلْكِتَٰبُ أَجَلَهُۥ  ۚ وَٱعْلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ فَٱحْذَرُوهُ  ۚ وَٱعْلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ

вəлəə джунəəhə 'əлэйкум фиимəə 'əррōдтумм-биhи мин хытбəтин-нисəə`и əу əкнəŋŋтум фии əŋŋфусикум, 'əлимəл-лаhу əннəкум сəтəз̃куруунəhуннə вəлəəкиль-лəə тувəə'идууhуннə сиррōн ильлəə əŋŋ-тəќуулюю ќōулəмм-мə'рууфə, вəлəə тə'зимуу 'уќдəтəн-никəəhи həттəə йəблюґōль-китəəбу əджəлəh, вəə'лəмуу əннəл-лаhə йə'лəму мəə фии əŋŋфусикум фəəhз̃əрууh, вəə'лəмуу əннəл-лаhə ґōфуурун həлиим

There is no sin upon you in what you may hint in proposing to [recently widowed] women, or what you may secretly cherish within your hearts. Allah knows that you will be thinking of them, but do not make troth with them secretly, unless you say honourable words, and do not resolve on a marriage tie until the prescribed term is complete. Know that Allah knows what is in your hearts, so beware of Him; and know that Allah is all-forgiving, all-forbearing.

لَّا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِن طَلَّقْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ مَا لَمْ تَمَسُّوهُنَّ أَوْ تَفْرِضُواْ لَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً  ۚ وَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ عَلَى ٱلْمُوسِعِ قَدَرُهُۥ وَعَلَى ٱلْمُقْتِرِ قَدَرُهُۥ مَتَٰعًۢا بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ  ۖ حَقًّا عَلَى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

лəə джунəəhə 'əлэйкум иŋŋ-тōльлəќтумун-нисəə`ə мəə лəм тəмəссууhуннə əу тəфридуу лəhуннə фəриидōh, вəмəтти'ууhуннə 'əлəəль-мууси'и ќōдəруhу вə'əлəəль-муќтири ќōдəруhу мəтəə'əмм-би-ль-мə'рууф, həќќōн 'əлəəль-муhсиниин

There is no sin upon you if you divorce women while you have not yet touched them or settled a dowry for them. Yet provide for them—the well-off according to his capacity, and the poorly-off according to his capacity—with a sustenance that is honourable, an obligation on the virtuous.

وَإِن طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَمَسُّوهُنَّ وَقَدْ فَرَضْتُمْ لَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً فَنِصْفُ مَا فَرَضْتُمْ إِلَّآ أَن يَعْفُونَ أَوْ يَعْفُوَاْ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِۦ عُقْدَةُ ٱلنِّكَاحِ  ۚ وَأَن تَعْفُوٓاْ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ  ۚ وَلَا تَنسَوُاْ ٱلْفَضْلَ بَيْنَكُمْ  ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

вə`иŋŋ-тōльлəќтумууhуннə миŋŋ-ќōбли əŋŋ-тəмəссууhуннə вəќōд фəрōдтум лəhуннə фəриидōтəн фəнисфу мəə фəрōдтум ильлəə əй-йə'фуунə əу йə'фувəль-лəз̃ии бийəдиhи 'уќдəтун-никəəh, вə`əŋŋ-тə'фуу əќрōбу лит-тəќвəə, вəлəə тəŋŋсəвуль-фəдлə бэйнəкум, иннəл-лаhə бимəə тə'мəлююнə бəсыыр

And if you divorce them before you touch them, and you have already settled a dowry for them, then [pay them] half of what you have settled, unless they forgo it, or someone in whose hand is the marriage tie forgoes it. And to forgo is nearer to Godwariness; so do not forget graciousness among yourselves. Indeed Allah watches what you do.
