وَإِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَرِيقًا يَلْوُۥنَ أَلْسِنَتَهُم بِٱلْكِتَٰبِ لِتَحْسَبُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ

вə`иннə минhум лəфəрииќōй-йəльвуунə əльсинəтəhумм-би-ль-китəəби литəhсəбууhу минəль-китəəби вəмəə hувə минəль-китəəби вəйəќуулююнə hувə мин 'иŋŋдиль-лəhи вəмəə hувə мин 'иŋŋдиль-лəhи вəйəќуулююнə 'əлəл-лаhиль-кəз̃ибə вəhум йə'лəмуун

There is a group of them who alter their voice while reading out a text [that they have themselves authored], so that you may suppose it to be from the Book, though it is not from the Book, and they say, ‘It is from Allah,’ though it is not from Allah, and they attribute lies to Allah, and they know [it].

مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُؤْتِيَهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُواْ عِبَادًا لِّى مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَٰكِن كُونُواْ رَبَّٰنِيِّۦنَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ

мəə кəəнə либəшəрин əй-йу`тийəhул-лаhуль-китəəбə вəəльhукмə вəн-нубуувəтə c̃уммə йəќуулə лин-нəəси куунуу 'ибəəдəл-лии миŋŋ-дууниль-лəhи вəлəəкиŋŋ-куунуу рōббəəниййиинə бимəə куŋŋтум ту'əллимуунəль-китəəбə вəбимəə куŋŋтум тəдрусуун

It does not behoove any human that Allah should give him the Book, judgement and prophethood, and then he should say to the people, ‘Be my servants instead of Allah.’ Rather [he would say], ‘Be a godly people, because of your teaching the Book and because of your studying it.’

وَلَا يَأْمُرَكُمْ أَن تَتَّخِذُواْ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ وَٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ أَرْبَابًا  ۗ أَيَأْمُرُكُم بِٱلْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

вəлəə йə`мурōкум əŋŋ-тəттəхыз̃ууль-мəлəə`икəтə вəн-нəбиййиинə əрбəəбə, əйə`мурукумм-би-ль-куфри бə'дə из̃ əŋŋтум-муслимуун

And he would not command you to take the angels and the prophets for lords. Would he call you to unfaith after you have submitted [to Allah]?

وَإِذْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَٰقَ ٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ لَمَآ ءَاتَيْتُكُم مِّن كِتَٰبٍ وَحِكْمَةٍ ثُمَّ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ لَتُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهِۦ وَلَتَنصُرُنَّهُۥ  ۚ قَالَ ءَأَقْرَرْتُمْ وَأَخَذْتُمْ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكُمْ إِصْرِى  ۖ قَالُوٓاْ أَقْرَرْنَا  ۚ قَالَ فَٱشْهَدُواْ وَأَنَا۠ مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ

вə`из̃ əхōз̃əл-лаhу мииc̃əəќōн-нəбиййиинə лəмəə əəтəйтукум-миŋŋ-китəəбиу-вəhикмəтин c̃уммə джəə`əкум рōсуулюмм-мусōддиќул-лимəə мə'əкум лəту`минуннə биhи вəлəтəŋŋсуруннəh, ќōōлə ə`əќрōртум вə`əхōз̃тум 'əлəə з̃əəликум исрий, ќōōлюю əќрōрнəə, ќōōлə фəəшhəдуу вə`əнəə мə'əкум-минəш-шəəhидиин

When Allah took a compact concerning the prophets, [He said,] ‘Inasmuch as I have given you [the knowledge] of the Book and wisdom, should an apostle come to you thereafter confirming what is with you, you shall believe in him and help him.’ He said, ‘Do you pledge and accept My covenant on this condition?’ They said, ‘We pledge.’ He said, ‘Then be witnesses, and I, too, am among the witnesses along with you.’

فَمَن تَوَلَّىٰ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ

фəмəŋŋ-тəвəльлəə бə'дə з̃əəликə фə`уулəə`икə hумуль-фəəсиќуун

Then whoever turns away after that—it is they who are the transgressors.

أَفَغَيْرَ دِينِ ٱللَّهِ يَبْغُونَ وَلَهُۥٓ أَسْلَمَ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا وَإِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ

əфəґōйрō дииниль-лəhи йəбґуунə вəлəhу əслəмə мəŋŋ-фиис-сəмəəвəəти вəəль`əрды тōу'əу-вəкəрhəу-вə`илəйhи йурджə'уун

Do they seek a religion other than that of Allah, while to Him submits whoever there is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and to Him they will be brought back?
