قَالَتْ لَهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ إِن نَّحْنُ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَمُنُّ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَآ أَن نَّأْتِيَكُم بِسُلْطَٰنٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
ќōōлəт лəhум русулюhум ин-нəhну ильлəə бəшəрумм-миc̃люкум вəлəəкиннəл-лаhə йəмунну 'əлəə мəй-йəшəə`у мин 'ибəəдиh, вəмəə кəəнə лəнəə əн-нə`тийəкумм-бисультōōнин ильлəə би`из̃ниль-лəh, вə'əлəл-лаhи фəльйəтəвəккəлиль-му`минуун
Their apostles said to them, ‘Indeed we are just human beings like yourselves; but Allah favours whomever of His servants that He wishes. We may not bring you an authority except by Allah’s leave, and in Allah let all the faithful put their trust.
وَمَا لَنَآ أَلَّا نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَىٰنَا سُبُلَنَا ۚ وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ عَلَىٰ مَآ ءَاذَيْتُمُونَا ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ
вəмəə лəнəə əльлəə нəтəвəккəлə 'əлəл-лаhи вəќōд həдəəнəə субулəнəə, вəлəнəсбирōннə 'əлəə мəə əəз̃əйтумуунəə, вə'əлəл-лаhи фəльйəтəвəккəлиль-мутəвəккилююн
And why should we not put our trust in Allah, seeing that He has guided us in our ways? Surely, we will put up patiently with whatever torment you may inflict upon us, and in Allah let all the trusting put their trust.’
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِرُسُلِهِمْ لَنُخْرِجَنَّكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِنَآ أَوْ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِى مِلَّتِنَا ۖ فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ لَنُهْلِكَنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
вəќōōлəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу лирусулиhим лəнухриджəннəкум-мин əрдынəə əу лəтə'уудуннə фии мильлəтинəə, фə`əуhəə илəйhим рōббуhум лəнуhликəннəз̃-з̃ōōлимиин
But the faithless said to their apostles, ‘Surely we will expel you from our land, or you shall revert to our creed.’ Thereat their Lord revealed to them: ‘We will surely destroy the wrongdoers,
وَلَنُسْكِنَنَّكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامِى وَخَافَ وَعِيدِ
вəлəнускинəннəкумуль-əрдō мимм-бə'диhим, з̃əəликə лимəн хōōфə мəќōōмии вəхōōфə вə'иид
and surely We will settle you in the land after them. This [promise] is for someone who is awed to stand before Me and fears My threat.’
وَٱسْتَفْتَحُواْ وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ
вəəстəфтəhуу вəхōōбə куллю джəббəəрин 'əниид
They prayed for victory [against the infidels], and every obstinate tyrant was defeated,
مِّن وَرَآئِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ وَيُسْقَىٰ مِن مَّآءٍ صَدِيدٍ
миу-вəрōō`иhи джəhəннəму вəйусќōō мимм-мəə`ин сōдиид
with hell lying ahead of him, [where] he shall be given to drink of a purulent fluid,
يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُۥ وَيَأْتِيهِ ٱلْمَوْتُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٍ ۖ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِۦ عَذَابٌ غَلِيظٌ
йəтəджəррō'уhу вəлəə йəкəəду йусииґуhу вəйə`тииhиль-мəуту миŋŋ-кулли мəкəəниу-вəмəə hувə бимəййит, вəмиу-вəрōō`иhи 'əз̃əəбун ґōлииз̃
gulping it down, but hardly swallowing it: death will assail him from every side, but he will not die, and there is [yet] a harsh punishment ahead of him.
مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِمْ ۖ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ كَرَمَادٍ ٱشْتَدَّتْ بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى يَوْمٍ عَاصِفٍ ۖ لَّا يَقْدِرُونَ مِمَّا كَسَبُواْ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَٰلُ ٱلْبَعِيدُ
мəc̃əлюль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу бирōббиhим, ə'мəəлюhум кəрōмəəдин-штəддəт биhир-рииhу фии йəумин 'əəсыф, лəə йəќдируунə миммəə кəсəбуу 'əлəə шэй, з̃əəликə hувəд-дōлəəлюль-бə'иид
A parable of those who defy their Lord: their deeds are like ashes over which the wind blows hard on a tempestuous day: they have no power over anything they have earned. That is extreme error.
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ
əлəм тəрō əннəл-лаhə хōлəќōс-сəмəəвəəти вəəль`əрдō би-ль-həќќ, ий-йəшə йуз̃hибкум вəйə`ти бихōльќин джəдиид
Have you not regarded that Allah created the heavens and the earth with justice? If He wishes, He will take you away, and bring about a new creation,
