قَالَ إِنَّهُۥ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ لَّا ذَلُولٌ تُثِيرُ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَلَا تَسْقِى ٱلْحَرْثَ مُسَلَّمَةٌ لَّا شِيَةَ فِيهَا  ۚ قَالُواْ ٱلْـَٰٔنَ جِئْتَ بِٱلْحَقِّ  ۚ فَذَبَحُوهَا وَمَا كَادُواْ يَفْعَلُونَ

ќōōлə иннəhу йəќуулю иннəhəə бəќōрōтуль-лəə з̃əлююлюн туc̃иируль-əрдō вəлəə тəсќииль-həрc̃ə мусəльлəмəтуль-лəə шийəтə фииhəə, ќōōлююль-əəнə джи`тə би-ль-həќќ, фəз̃əбəhууhəə вəмəə кəəдуу йəф'əлююн

He said, ‘He says, She is a cow not broken to till the earth or water the tillage, sound and without blemish.’ They said, ‘Now have you come up with the truth!’ And they slaughtered it, though they were about not to do it.

وَإِذْ قَتَلْتُمْ نَفْسًا فَٱدَّٰرَْٰٔتُمْ فِيهَا  ۖ وَٱللَّهُ مُخْرِجٌ مَّا كُنتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ

вə`из̃ ќōтəльтум нəфсəн фəəддəəрō`тум фииhəə, вəл-лаhу мухриджумм-мəə куŋŋтум тəктумуун

And when you killed a soul, and accused one another about it—and Allah was to expose what you were concealing—

فَقُلْنَا ٱضْرِبُوهُ بِبَعْضِهَا  ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُحْىِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَيُرِيكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ

фəќульнəə-дрибууhу бибə'дыhəə, кəз̃əəликə йуhйиил-лаhуль-мəутəə вəйуриикум əəйəəтиhи лə'əльлəкум тə'ќилююн

We said, ‘Strike him with a piece of it:’ thus does Allah revive the dead, and He shows you His signs so that you may exercise your reason.

ثُمَّ قَسَتْ قُلُوبُكُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ فَهِىَ كَٱلْحِجَارَةِ أَوْ أَشَدُّ قَسْوَةً  ۚ وَإِنَّ مِنَ ٱلْحِجَارَةِ لَمَا يَتَفَجَّرُ مِنْهُ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ  ۚ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَشَّقَّقُ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ ٱلْمَآءُ  ۚ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَهْبِطُ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ ٱللَّهِ  ۗ وَمَا ٱللَّهُ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ

c̃уммə ќōсəт ќулююбукум-мимм-бə'ди з̃əəликə фəhийə кəəльhиджəəрōти əу əшəдду ќōсвəh, вə`иннə минəль-hиджəəрōти лəмəə йəтəфəджджəру минhуль-əнhəəр, вə`иннə минhəə лəмəə йəшшəќќōќу фəйəхруджу минhуль-мəə, вə`иннə минhəə лəмəə йəhбиту мин хōшйəтиль-лəh, вəмəл-лаhу биґōōфилин 'əммəə тə'мəлююн

Then your hearts hardened after that; so they are like stones, or even harder. For there are some stones from which streams gush forth, and there are some of them that split, and water issues from them, and there are some that fall for the fear of Allah. And Allah is not oblivious of what you do.

 ۞ أَفَتَطْمَعُونَ أَن يُؤْمِنُواْ لَكُمْ وَقَدْ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ كَلَٰمَ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُحَرِّفُونَهُۥ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا عَقَلُوهُ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ

əфəтəтмə'уунə əй-йу`минуу лəкум вəќōд кəəнə фəрииќумм-минhум йəсмə'уунə кəлəəмəл-лаhи c̃уммə йуhəррифуунəhу мимм-бə'ди мəə 'əќōлююhу вəhум йə'лəмуун

Are you then eager that they should believe you, though a part of them would hear the word of Allah and then they would distort it after they had understood it, and they knew [what they were doing]?

وَإِذَا لَقُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ قَالُوٓاْ أَتُحَدِّثُونَهُم بِمَا فَتَحَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لِيُحَآجُّوكُم بِهِۦ عِندَ رَبِّكُمْ  ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

вə`из̃əə лəќууль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу ќōōлюю əəмəннəə вə`из̃əə хōлəə бə'дуhум илəə бə'дын ќōōлюю əтуhəддиc̃уунəhумм-бимəə фəтəhəл-лаhу 'əлэйкум лийуhəəджджуукумм-биhи 'иŋŋдə рōббикум, əфəлəə тə'ќилююн

When they meet the faithful, they say, ‘We believe,’ and when they are alone with one another, they say, ‘Do you recount to them what Allah has revealed to you, so that they may argue with you therewith before your Lord? Do you not exercise your reason?’

أَوَلَا يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ

əвəлəə йə'лəмуунə əннəл-лаhə йə'лəму мəə йусирруунə вəмəə йу'линуун

Do they not know that Allah knows whatever they hide and whatever they disclose?

وَمِنْهُمْ أُمِّيُّونَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ إِلَّآ أَمَانِىَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَظُنُّونَ

вəминhум уммиййуунə лəə йə'лəмуунəль-китəəбə ильлəə əмəəниййə вə`ин hум ильлəə йəз̃уннуун

And among them are the illiterate who know nothing of the Book except hearsay, and they only make conjectures.

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يَكْتُبُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ هَٰذَا مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ لِيَشْتَرُواْ بِهِۦ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا  ۖ فَوَيْلٌ لَّهُم مِّمَّا كَتَبَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَوَيْلٌ لَّهُم مِّمَّا يَكْسِبُونَ

фəвəйлюл-лильлəз̃иинə йəктубуунəль-китəəбə би`əйдииhим c̃уммə йəќуулююнə həəз̃əə мин 'иŋŋдиль-лəhи лийəштəруу биhи c̃əмəнəн ќōлиилə, фəвəйлюль-лəhум-миммəə кəтəбəт əйдииhим вəвəйлюль-лəhум-миммəə йəксибуун

So woe to them who write the Book with their hands and then say, ‘This is from Allah,’ that they may sell it for a paltry gain. So woe to them for what their hands have written, and woe to them for what they earn!

وَقَالُواْ لَن تَمَسَّنَا ٱلنَّارُ إِلَّآ أَيَّامًا مَّعْدُودَةً  ۚ قُلْ أَتَّخَذْتُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ عَهْدًا فَلَن يُخْلِفَ ٱللَّهُ عَهْدَهُۥٓ  ۖ أَمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

вəќōōлюю лəŋŋ-тəмəссəнəəн-нəəру ильлəə əййəəмəмм-мə'дуудəh, ќуль əттəхōз̃тум 'иŋŋдəл-лаhи 'əhдəн фəлэй-йухлифəл-лаhу 'əhдəh, əм тəќуулююнə 'əлəл-лаhи мəə лəə тə'лəмуун

And they say, ‘The Fire shall not touch us except for a number of days.’ Say, ‘Have you taken a promise from Allah? If so, Allah will never break His promise. Do you ascribe to Allah what you do not know?’
