أَفَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ وَأَضَلَّهُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِۦ وَقَلْبِهِۦ وَجَعَلَ عَلَىٰ بَصَرِهِۦ غِشَٰوَةً فَمَن يَهْدِيهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱللَّهِ  ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

əфəрō`əйтə мəни-ттəхōз̃ə илəəhəhу həвəəhу вə`əдōльлəhул-лаhу 'əлəə 'ильмиу-вəхōтəмə 'əлəə сəм'иhи вəќōльбиhи вəджə'əлə 'əлəə бəсōриhи ґишəəвəтəн фəмəй-йəhдииhи мимм-бə'диль-лəh, əфəлəə тəз̃əккəруун

Have you seen him who has taken his desire to be his god and whom Allah has led astray knowingly, set a seal upon his hearing and heart, and put a blindfold on his sight? So who will guide him after Allah [has consigned him to error]? Will you not then take admonition?

وَقَالُواْ مَا هِىَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا ٱلدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا يُهْلِكُنَآ إِلَّا ٱلدَّهْرُ  ۚ وَمَا لَهُم بِذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ  ۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَظُنُّونَ

вəќōōлюю мəə hийə ильлəə həйəəтунəəд-дунйəə нəмууту вəнəhйəə вəмəə йуhликунəə ильлəəд-дəhр, вəмəə лəhумм-биз̃əəликə мин 'ильм, ин hум ильлəə йəз̃уннуун

They say, ‘There is nothing but the life of this world: we live and we die, and nothing but time destroys us.’ But they do not have any knowledge of that, and they only make conjectures.

وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٍ مَّا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُواْ ٱئْتُواْ بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

вə`из̃əə тутлəə 'əлэйhим əəйəəтунəə бэййинəəтимм-мəə кəəнə hуджджəтəhум ильлəə əŋŋ-ќōōлюю-туу би`əəбəə`инəə иŋŋ-куŋŋтум сōōдиќиин

When Our manifest signs are recited to them, their only argument is to say, ‘Bring our fathers back [to life], if you are truthful.’

قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يُحْيِيكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يَجْمَعُكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

ќулиль-лəhу йуhйиикум c̃уммə йумиитукум c̃уммə йəджмə'укум илəə йəумиль-ќийəəмəти лəə рōйбə фииhи вəлəəкиннə əкc̃əрōн-нəəси лəə йə'лəмуун

Say, ‘It is Allah who gives you life, then He makes you die. Then He will gather you on the Day of Resurrection, in which there is no doubt. But most people do not know.’

وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ  ۚ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَخْسَرُ ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ

вəлильлəhи мулькус-сəмəəвəəти вəəль`əрд, вəйəумə тəќуумус-сəə'əту йəумə`из̃ий-йəхсəруль-мубтылююн

To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and when the Hour sets in, the falsifiers will be losers on that day.

وَتَرَىٰ كُلَّ أُمَّةٍ جَاثِيَةً  ۚ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ تُدْعَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ كِتَٰبِهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

вəтəрōō кульлə уммəтин джəəc̃ийəh, куллю уммəтин туд'əə илəə китəəбиhəəль-йəумə туджзəунə мəə куŋŋтум тə'мəлююн

And you will see every nation fallen on its knees. Every nation will be summoned to its book: ‘Today you will be requited for what you used to do.

هَٰذَا كِتَٰبُنَا يَنطِقُ عَلَيْكُم بِٱلْحَقِّ  ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنسِخُ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

həəз̃əə китəəбунəə йəŋŋтыќу 'əлэйкумм-би-ль-həќќ, иннəə куннəə нəстəŋŋсиху мəə куŋŋтум тə'мəлююн

This is Our book, which speaks truly against you. Indeed We used to record what you used to do.’

فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦ  ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْمُبِينُ

фə`əммəəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вə'əмилююс-сōōлиhəəти фəйудхылюhум рōббуhум фии рōhмəтиh, з̃əəликə hувəль-фəузуль-мубиин

As for those who have faith and do righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. That is the manifest success!

وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَفَلَمْ تَكُنْ ءَايَٰتِى تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ

вə`əммəəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу əфəлəм тəкун əəйəəтии тутлəə 'əлэйкум фəəстəкбəртум вəкуŋŋтум ќōумəмм-муджримиин

But as for the faithless, [they will be asked,] ‘Were not My signs recited to you? But you were disdainful, and you were a guilty lot.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا قُلْتُم مَّا نَدْرِى مَا ٱلسَّاعَةُ إِن نَّظُنُّ إِلَّا ظَنًّا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَ

вə`из̃əə ќиилə иннə вə'дəл-лаhи həќќуу-вəс-сəə'əту лəə рōйбə фииhəə ќультум-мəə нəдрии мəəс-сəə'əту ин-нəз̃унну ильлəə з̃ōннəу-вəмəə нəhну бимустəйќиниин

When it was said, ‘‘Allah’s promise is indeed true, and there is no doubt about the Hour,’’ you said, ‘‘We do not know what the Hour is. We know nothing beyond conjectures, and we do not possess any certainty.’’ ’
