۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ لَا يَحْزُنكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْكُفْرِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِن قُلُوبُهُمْ  ۛ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ  ۛ سَمَّٰعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمَّٰعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ ءَاخَرِينَ لَمْ يَأْتُوكَ  ۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهِۦ  ۖ يَقُولُونَ إِنْ أُوتِيتُمْ هَٰذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَٱحْذَرُواْ  ۚ وَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ فِتْنَتَهُۥ فَلَن تَمْلِكَ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا  ۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْ  ۚ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌ  ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

йəə əййуhəəр-рōсуулю лəə йəhзуŋŋкəль-лəз̃иинə йусəəри'уунə фииль-куфри минəль-лəз̃иинə ќōōлюю əəмəннəə би`əфвəəhиhим вəлəм ту`миŋŋ-ќулююбуhум вəминəль-лəз̃иинə həəдуу, сəммəə'уунə ли-ль-кəз̃иби сəммəə'уунə лиќōумин əəхōриинə лəм йə`туук, йуhəррифуунəль-кəлимə мимм-бə'ди мəвəəды'иh, йəќуулююнə ин уутиитум həəз̃əə фəхуз̃ууhу вə`иль-лəм ту`тəуhу фəəhз̃əруу, вəмəй-йуридиль-лəhу фитнəтəhу фəлəŋŋ-тəмликə лəhу минəл-лаhи шэй`ə, уулəə`икəль-лəз̃иинə лəм йуридиль-лəhу əй-йутōhhирō ќулююбəhум, лəhум фиид-дунйəə хызй, вəлəhум фииль-əəхырōти 'əз̃əəбун 'əз̃ыым

O Apostle! Do not grieve for those who are active in [promoting] unfaith, such as those who say, ‘We believe’ with their mouths, but whose hearts have no faith, and the Jews who eavesdrop with the aim of [telling] lies [against you] and eavesdrop for other people who do not come to you. They pervert words from their meanings, [and] say, ‘If you are given this, take it, but if you are not given this, beware!’ Yet whomever Allah wishes to mislead, you cannot avail him anything against Allah. They are the ones whose hearts Allah did not desire to purify. For them is disgrace in this world, and there is a great punishment for them in the Hereafter.

سَمَّٰعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ أَكَّٰلُونَ لِلسُّحْتِ  ۚ فَإِن جَآءُوكَ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُمْ أَوْ أَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ  ۖ وَإِن تُعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ فَلَن يَضُرُّوكَ شَيْـًٔا  ۖ وَإِنْ حَكَمْتَ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْقِسْطِ  ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ

сəммəə'уунə ли-ль-кəз̃иби əккəəлююнə лис-суhт, фə`иŋŋ-джəə`уукə фəəhкумм-бэйнəhум əу ə'рид 'əнhум, вə`иŋŋ-ту'рид 'əнhум фəлэй-йəдурруукə шэй`ə, вə`ин həкəмтə фəəhкумм-бэйнəhумм-би-ль-ќист, иннəл-лаhə йуhиббуль-муќситыын

Eavesdroppers with the aim of [telling] lies, eaters of the unlawful—if they come to you, judge between them, or disregard them. If you disregard them, they will not harm you in any way. But if you judge, judge between them with justice. Indeed Allah loves the just.

وَكَيْفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِندَهُمُ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ فِيهَا حُكْمُ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ  ۚ وَمَآ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

вəкəйфə йуhəккимуунəкə вə'иŋŋдəhумут-тəурōōту фииhəə hукмул-лаhи c̃уммə йəтəвəльлəунə мимм-бə'ди з̃əəлик, вəмəə уулəə`икə би-ль-му`миниин

And how should they make you a judge, while with them is the Torah, in which is Allah’s judgement? Yet in spite of that, they turn their backs [on Him] and they are not believers.

إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَا ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ فِيهَا هُدًى وَنُورٌ  ۚ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّونَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُواْ لِلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ وَٱلرَّبَّٰنِيُّونَ وَٱلْأَحْبَارُ بِمَا ٱسْتُحْفِظُواْ مِن كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَانُواْ عَلَيْهِ شُهَدَآءَ  ۚ فَلَا تَخْشَوُاْ ٱلنَّاسَ وَٱخْشَوْنِ وَلَا تَشْتَرُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِى ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا  ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

иннəə əŋŋзəльнəəт-тəурōōтə фииhəə hудəу-вəнуур, йəhкуму биhəəн-нəбиййуунəль-лəз̃иинə əслəмуу лильлəз̃иинə həəдуу вəр-рōббəəниййуунə вəəль`əhбəəру бимəə-стуhфиз̃уу миŋŋ-китəəбиль-лəhи вəкəəнуу 'əлэйhи шуhəдəə, фəлəə тəхшəвун-нəəсə вəəхшəуни вəлəə тəштəруу би`əəйəəтии c̃əмəнəн ќōлиилə, вəмəль-лəм йəhкумм-бимəə əŋŋзəлəл-лаhу фə`уулəə`икə hумуль-кəəфируун

We sent down the Torah containing guidance and light. The prophets, who had submitted, judged by it for the Jews, and so did the rabbis and the scribes, as they were charged to preserve the Book of Allah and were witnesses to it. So do not fear the people, but fear Me, and do not sell My signs for a paltry gain. Those who do not judge by what Allah has sent down—it is they who are the faithless.

وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَآ أَنَّ ٱلنَّفْسَ بِٱلنَّفْسِ وَٱلْعَيْنَ بِٱلْعَيْنِ وَٱلْأَنفَ بِٱلْأَنفِ وَٱلْأُذُنَ بِٱلْأُذُنِ وَٱلسِّنَّ بِٱلسِّنِّ وَٱلْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌ  ۚ فَمَن تَصَدَّقَ بِهِۦ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ لَّهُۥ  ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ

вəкəтəбнəə 'əлэйhим фииhəə əннəн-нəфсə бин-нəфси вəəль'əйнə би-ль-'əйни вəəль`əŋŋфə би-ль-əŋŋфи вəəль`уз̃унə би-ль-уз̃уни вəс-синнə бис-синни вəəльджурууhə ќисōōс, фəмəŋŋ-тəсōддəќō биhи фəhувə кəффəəрōтуль-лəh, вəмəль-лəм йəhкумм-бимəə əŋŋзəлəл-лаhу фə`уулəə`икə hумуз̃-з̃ōōлимуун

In it We prescribed for them: a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, and an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and retaliation for wounds. Yet whoever remits it out of charity, that shall be an atonement for him. Those who do not judge by what Allah has sent down—it is they who are the wrongdoers.

وَقَفَّيْنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم بِعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ  ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ ٱلْإِنجِيلَ فِيهِ هُدًى وَنُورٌ وَمُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ وَهُدًى وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

вəќōффəйнəə 'əлəə əəc̃əəриhимм-би'иисəə-бни мəрйəмə мусōддиќōл-лимəə бэйнə йəдəйhи минəт-тəурōōh, вə`əəтəйнəəhуль-иŋŋджиилə фииhи hудəу-вəнууруу-вəмусōддиќōл-лимəə бэйнə йəдəйhи минəт-тəурōōти вəhудəу-вəмəу'из̃ōтəл-ли-ль-муттəќиин

We followed them with Jesus son of Mary, to confirm that which was before him of the Torah, and We gave him the Evangel containing guidance and light, confirming what was before it of the Torah, and as guidance and advice for the Godwary.

وَلْيَحْكُمْ أَهْلُ ٱلْإِنجِيلِ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فِيهِ  ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ

вəльйəhкум əhлюль-иŋŋджиили бимəə əŋŋзəлəл-лаhу фииh, вəмəль-лəм йəhкумм-бимəə əŋŋзəлəл-лаhу фə`уулəə`икə hумуль-фəəсиќуун

Let the people of the Evangel judge by what Allah has sent down in it. Those who do not judge by what Allah has sent down—it is they who are the transgressors.

وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ بِٱلْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ  ۖ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ  ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ  ۚ لِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مِنكُمْ شِرْعَةً وَمِنْهَاجًا  ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً وَلَٰكِن لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِى مَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ  ۖ فَٱسْتَبِقُواْ ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ  ۚ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ

вə`əŋŋзəльнəə илəйкəль-китəəбə би-ль-həќќи мусōддиќōл-лимəə бэйнə йəдəйhи минəль-китəəби вəмуhəйминəн 'əлэйh, фəəhкумм-бэйнəhумм-бимəə əŋŋзəлəл-лаh, вəлəə тəттəби' əhвəə`əhум 'əммəə джəə`əкə минəль-həќќ, ликуллин джə'əльнəə миŋŋкум шир'əтəу-вəминhəəджə, вəлəу шəə`əл-лаhу лəджə'əлəкум уммəтəу-вəəhидəтəу-вəлəəкил-лийəблювəкум фии мəə əəтəəкум, фəəстəбиќууль-хōйрōōт, илəл-лаhи мəрджи'укум джəмии'əн фəйунəбби`укумм-бимəə куŋŋтум фииhи тəхтəлифуун

We have sent down to you the Book with the truth, confirming what was before it of the Book and as a guardian over it. So judge between them by what Allah has sent down, and do not follow their desires against the truth that has come to you. For each [community] among you We had appointed a code [of law] and a path, and had Allah wished He would have made you one community, but [His purposes required] that He should test you in respect to what He has given you. So take the lead in all good works. To Allah shall be the return of you all, whereat He will inform you concerning that about which you used to differ.

وَأَنِ ٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ وَٱحْذَرْهُمْ أَن يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنۢ بَعْضِ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ  ۖ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْاْ فَٱعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُصِيبَهُم بِبَعْضِ ذُنُوبِهِمْ  ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَفَٰسِقُونَ

вə`əни-hкумм-бэйнəhумм-бимəə əŋŋзəлəл-лаhу вəлəə тəттəби' əhвəə`əhум вəəhз̃əрhум əй-йəфтинуукə 'əмм-бə'ды мəə əŋŋзəлəл-лаhу илəйк, фə`иŋŋ-тəвəльлəу фəə'лəм əннəмəə йуриидул-лаhу əй-йусыыбəhумм-бибə'ды з̃унуубиhим, вə`иннə кəc̃иирōмм-минəн-нəəси лəфəəсиќуун

Judge between them by what Allah has sent down, and do not follow their desires. Beware of them lest they should beguile you from part of what Allah has sent down to you. But if they turn their backs [on you], then know that Allah desires to punish them for some of their sins, and indeed many of the people are transgressors.

أَفَحُكْمَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ  ۚ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ حُكْمًا لِّقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ

əфəhукмəль-джəəhилиййəти йəбґуун, вəмəн əhсəну минəл-лаhи hукмəл-лиќōумий-йууќинуун

Do they seek the judgement of [pagan] ignorance? But who is better than Allah in judgement for a people who have certainty?
