وَإِذَا جَآءُوكُمْ قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا وَقَد دَّخَلُواْ بِٱلْكُفْرِ وَهُمْ قَدْ خَرَجُواْ بِهِۦ  ۚ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْتُمُونَ

вə`из̃əə джəə`уукум ќōōлюю əəмəннəə вəќōд-дəхōлюю би-ль-куфри вəhум ќōд хōрōджуу биh, вəл-лаhу ə'лəму бимəə кəəнуу йəктумуун

When they come to you, they say, ‘We believe.’ Certainly, they enter with disbelief and leave with it, and Allah knows best as to what they have been concealing.

وَتَرَىٰ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ وَأَكْلِهِمُ ٱلسُّحْتَ  ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ

вəтəрōō кəc̃иирōмм-минhум йусəəри'уунə фииль-иc̃ми вəəль'удвəəни вə`əклиhимус-суhт, лəби`сə мəə кəəнуу йə'мəлююн

You see many of them actively engaged in sin and aggression, and consuming illicit gains. Surely, evil is what they have been doing.

لَوْلَا يَنْهَىٰهُمُ ٱلرَّبَّٰنِيُّونَ وَٱلْأَحْبَارُ عَن قَوْلِهِمُ ٱلْإِثْمَ وَأَكْلِهِمُ ٱلسُّحْتَ  ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُواْ يَصْنَعُونَ

лəулəə йəнhəəhумур-рōббəəниййуунə вəəль`əhбəəру 'əŋŋ-ќōулиhимуль-иc̃мə вə`əклиhимус-суhт, лəби`сə мəə кəəнуу йəснə'уун

Why do not the rabbis and the scribes forbid them from sinful speech and consuming illicit gains? Surely, evil is what they have been working.

وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ يَدُ ٱللَّهِ مَغْلُولَةٌ  ۚ غُلَّتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَلُعِنُواْ بِمَا قَالُواْ  ۘ بَلْ يَدَاهُ مَبْسُوطَتَانِ يُنفِقُ كَيْفَ يَشَآءُ  ۚ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَٰنًا وَكُفْرًا  ۚ وَأَلْقَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ ٱلْعَدَٰوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ  ۚ كُلَّمَآ أَوْقَدُواْ نَارًا لِّلْحَرْبِ أَطْفَأَهَا ٱللَّهُ  ۚ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا  ۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

вəќōōлəтиль-йəhууду йəдул-лаhи мəґлююлəh, ґульлəт əйдииhим вəлю'инуу бимəə ќōōлюу, бəль йəдəəhу мəбсуутōтəəни йуŋŋфиќу кəйфə йəшəə, вəлəйəзиидəннə кəc̃иирōмм-минhум-мəə уŋŋзилə илəйкə мир-рōббикə туґйəəнəу-вəкуфрō, вə`əльќōйнəə бэйнəhумуль-'əдəəвəтə вəəльбəґдōō`ə илəə йəумиль-ќийəəмəh, кульлəмəə əуќōдуу нəəрōл-ли-ль-həрби əтфə`əhəл-лаh, вəйəс'əунə фииль-əрды фəсəəдə, вəл-лаhу лəə йуhиббуль-муфсидиин

The Jews say, ‘Allah’s hand is tied up.’ Tied up be their hands, and cursed be they for what they say! No, His hands are wide open: He bestows as He wishes. Surely many of them will be increased in rebellion and unfaith by what has been sent to you from your Lord, and We have cast enmity and hatred amongst them until the Day of Resurrection. Every time they ignite the flames of war, Allah puts them out. They seek to cause corruption on the earth, and Allah does not like the agents of corruption.

وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱتَّقَوْاْ لَكَفَّرْنَا عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَأَدْخَلْنَٰهُمْ جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

вəлəу əннə əhлəль-китəəби əəмəнуу вəəттəќōу лəкəффəрнəə 'əнhум сəййи`əəтиhим вəлə`əдхōльнəəhум джəннəəтин-нə'иим

Had the People of the Book believed and been Godwary, We would surely have absolved them of their misdeeds and admitted them into gardens of bliss.

وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ أَقَامُواْ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِم مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ لَأَكَلُواْ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِم  ۚ مِّنْهُمْ أُمَّةٌ مُّقْتَصِدَةٌ  ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ سَآءَ مَا يَعْمَلُونَ

вəлəу əннəhум əќōōмуут-тəурōōтə вəəль`иŋŋджиилə вəмəə уŋŋзилə илəйhим-мир-рōббиhим лə`əкəлюю миŋŋ-фəуќиhим вəмиŋŋ-тəhти əрджулиhим, минhум уммəтумм-муќтəсыдəh, вəкəc̃иирумм-минhум сəə`ə мəə йə'мəлююн

Had they observed the Torah and the Evangel, and what was sent down to them from their Lord, they would surely have drawn nourishment from above them and from beneath their feet. There is an upright group among them, but evil is what many of them do.

 ۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ  ۖ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُۥ  ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ  ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

йəə əййуhəəр-рōсуулю бəллиґ мəə уŋŋзилə илəйкə мир-рōббик, вə`иль-лəм тəф'əль фəмəə бəльлəґтə рисəəлəтəh, вəл-лаhу йə'сымукə минəн-нəəс, иннəл-лаhə лəə йəhдииль-ќōумəль-кəəфириин

O Apostle! Communicate that which has been sent down to you from your Lord, and if you do not, you will not have communicated His message, and Allah shall protect you from the people. Indeed Allah does not guide the faithless lot.

قُلْ يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَسْتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰ تُقِيمُواْ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ  ۗ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَٰنًا وَكُفْرًا  ۖ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

ќуль йəə əhлəль-китəəби лəстум 'əлəə шэй`ин həттəə туќиимуут-тəурōōтə вəəль`иŋŋджиилə вəмəə уŋŋзилə илəйкум-мир-рōббикум, вəлəйəзиидəннə кəc̃иирōмм-минhум-мəə уŋŋзилə илəйкə мир-рōббикə туґйəəнəу-вəкуфрō, фəлəə тə`сə 'əлəəль-ќōумиль-кəəфириин

Say, ‘O People of the Book! You do not stand on anything until you observe the Torah and the Evangel and what was sent down to you from your Lord.’ Surely many of them will be increased in rebellion and unfaith by what has been sent down to you from your Lord. So do not grieve for the faithless lot.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ وَٱلصَّٰبِـُٔونَ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

иннəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу вəəльлəз̃иинə həəдуу вəс-сōōби`уунə вəн-нəсōōрōō мəн əəмəнə биль-лəhи вəəльйəумиль-əəхыри вə'əмилə сōōлиhəн фəлəə хōуфун 'əлэйhим вəлəə hум йəhзəнуун

Indeed the faithful, the Jews, the Sabaeans, and the Christians—those who have faith in Allah and the Last Day and act righteously—they will have no fear, nor will they grieve.

لَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمْ رُسُلًا  ۖ كُلَّمَا جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۢ بِمَا لَا تَهْوَىٰٓ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَرِيقًا كَذَّبُواْ وَفَرِيقًا يَقْتُلُونَ

лəќōд əхōз̃нəə мииc̃əəќō бəнии исрōō`иилə вə`əрсəльнəə илəйhим русулə, кульлəмəə джəə`əhум рōсуулюмм-бимəə лəə тəhвəə əŋŋфусуhум фəрииќōн кəз̃з̃əбуу вəфəрииќōй-йəќтулююн

Certainly We took a pledge from the Children of Israel, and We sent apostles to them. Whenever an apostle brought them that which was not to their liking, they would impugn a part of them, and a part they would slay.
