وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓاْ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُواْ فَكِهِينَ

вə`из̃əə-ŋŋќōлəбуу илəə əhлиhиму-ŋŋќōлəбуу фəкиhиин

and when they returned to their folks they would return amused,

وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ

вə`из̃əə рō`əуhум ќōōлюю иннə həə`улəə`и лəдōōллююн

and when they saw them they would say, ‘Indeed those are the astray!’

وَمَآ أُرْسِلُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ حَٰفِظِينَ

вəмəə урсилюю 'əлэйhим həəфиз̃ыын

Though they were not sent to watch over them.

فَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنَ ٱلْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ

фəəльйəумəль-лəз̃иинə əəмəнуу минəль-куффəəри йəдhəкуун

So today the faithful will laugh at the faithless,

عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ

'əлəəль-əрōō`ики йəŋŋз̃уруун

observing from their couches:

هَلْ ثُوِّبَ ٱلْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُواْ يَفْعَلُونَ

həль c̃уувибəль-куффəəру мəə кəəнуу йəф'əлююн

Have the faithless been requited for what they used to do?
