بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

бисмиль-лəhир-рōhмəəнир-рōhиим

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

وَٱلضُّحَىٰ

вəд-дуhəə

By the morning brightness,

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ

вəль-лэйли из̃əə сəджəə

and by the night when it is calm!

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ

мəə вəддə'əкə рōббукə вəмəə ќōлəə

Your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you,

وَلَلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ

вəлə-ль-əəхырōту хōйруль-лəкə минəль-уулəə

and the Hereafter shall be better for you than the world.

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ

вəлəсəуфə йу'тыыкə рōббукə фəтəрдōō

Soon your Lord will give you [that with which] you will be pleased.

أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔاوَىٰ

əлəм йəджидкə йəтиимəн фə`əəвəə

Did He not find you an orphan, and shelter you?

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ

вəвəджəдəкə дōōльлəн фəhəдəə

Did He not find you astray, and guide you?

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ

вəвəджəдəкə 'əə`илəн фə`əґнəə

Did He not find you needy, and enrich you?

فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ

фə`əммəəль-йəтиимə фəлəə тəќhəр

So, as for the orphan, do not oppress him;

وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ

вə`əммəəс-сəə`илə фəлəə тəнhəр

and as for the beggar, do not chide him;
