بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

бисмиль-лəhир-рōhмəəнир-рōhиим

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ

вəль-лэйли из̃əə йəґшəə

By the night when it envelops,

وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ

вəн-нəhəəри из̃əə тəджəльлəə

by the day when it brightens,

وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ

вəмəə хōлəќōз̃-з̃əкəрō вəəль`уŋŋc̃əə

by Him who created the male and the female:

إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ

иннə сə'йəкум лəшəттəə

your endeavours are indeed diverse.

فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ

фə`əммəə мəн ə'тōō вəəттəќōō

As for him who gives and is Godwary

وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ

вəсōддəќō би-ль-hуснəə

and confirms the best promise,

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ

фəсəнуйəссируhу ли-ль-йусрōō

We will surely ease him toward facility.

وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ

вə`əммəə мəмм-бəхылə вəəстəґнəə

But as for him, who is stingy and self-complacent,

وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ

вəкəз̃з̃əбə би-ль-hуснəə

and denies the best promise,

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ

фəсəнуйəссируhу ли-ль-'усрōō

We will surely ease him toward hardship.
