بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
бисмиль-лəhир-рōhмəəнир-рōhиим
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
79:1 وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ غَرْقًا
вəн-нəəзи'əəти ґōрќō
By those [angels] who wrest [the soul] violently,
79:2 وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ نَشْطًا
вəн-нəəшитōōти нəштō
by those who draw [it] out gently,
79:3 وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ سَبْحًا
вəс-сəəбиhəəти сəбhə
by those who swim smoothly,
79:4 فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ سَبْقًا
фəс-сəəбиќōōти сəбќō
by those who, racing, take the lead,
79:5 فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمْرًا
фəəльмудəббирōōти əмрō
by those who direct the affairs [of creatures]:
79:6 يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ
йəумə тəрджуфур-рōōджифəh
the day when the Quaker quakes
79:7 تَتْبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ
тəтбə'уhəəр-рōōдифəh
and is followed by the Successor,
79:8 قُلُوبٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاجِفَةٌ
ќулююбуй-йəумə`из̃иу-вəəджифəh
hearts will be trembling on that day,
79:9 أَبْصَٰرُهَا خَٰشِعَةٌ
əбсōōруhəə хōōши'əh
bearing a humbled look.
79:10 يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِى ٱلْحَافِرَةِ
йəќуулююнə ə`иннəə лəмəрдуудуунə фииль-həəфирōh
They will say, ‘Are we being returned to our earlier state?
