وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالُواْ قَدْ سَمِعْنَا لَوْ نَشَآءُ لَقُلْنَا مِثْلَ هَٰذَآ ۙ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
вə`из̃əə тутлəə 'əлэйhим əəйəəтунəə ќōōлюю ќōд сəми'нəə лəу нəшəə`у лəќульнəə миc̃лə həəз̃əə ин həəз̃əə ильлəə əсəəтыыруль-əувəлиин
When Our signs are recited to them, they say, ‘We have heard already. If we want, we [too] can say like this. These are nothing but myths of the ancients.’
وَإِذْ قَالُواْ ٱللَّهُمَّ إِن كَانَ هَٰذَا هُوَ ٱلْحَقَّ مِنْ عِندِكَ فَأَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَةً مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ أَوِ ٱئْتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
вə`из̃ ќōōлююл-лаhуммə иŋŋ-кəəнə həəз̃əə hувəль-həќќō мин 'иŋŋдикə фə`əмтыр 'əлэйнəə hиджəəрōтəмм-минəс-сəмəə`и əви-тинəə би'əз̃əəбин əлиим
And when they said, ‘O Allah, if this be the truth from You, rain down upon us stones from the sky, or bring us a painful punishment.’
وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنتَ فِيهِمْ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
вəмəə кəəнəл-лаhу лийу'əз̃з̃ибəhум вə`əŋŋтə фииhим, вəмəə кəəнəл-лаhу му'əз̃з̃ибəhум вəhум йəстəґфируун
But Allah will not punish them while you are in their midst, nor will Allah punish them while they plead for forgiveness.
وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلَّا يُعَذِّبَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ وَمَا كَانُوٓاْ أَوْلِيَآءَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنْ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
вəмəə лəhум əльлəə йу'əз̃з̃ибəhумул-лаhу вəhум йəсуддуунə 'əниль-мəсджидиль-həрōōми вəмəə кəəнуу əулийəə`əh, ин əулийəə`уhу ильлəəль-муттəќуунə вəлəəкиннə əкc̃əрōhум лəə йə'лəмуун
What [excuse] have they that Allah should not punish them, when they bar [the faithful] from the Holy Mosque, and they are not its custodians? Its custodians are only the Godwary, but most of them do not know.
وَمَا كَانَ صَلَاتُهُمْ عِندَ ٱلْبَيْتِ إِلَّا مُكَآءً وَتَصْدِيَةً ۚ فَذُوقُواْ ٱلْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ
вəмəə кəəнə сōлəəтуhум 'иŋŋдəль-бэйти ильлəə мукəə`əу-вəтəсдийəh, фəз̃ууќууль-'əз̃əəбə бимəə куŋŋтум тəкфуруун
Their prayer at the House is nothing but whistling and clapping. So taste the punishment because of what you used to defy.
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ لِيَصُدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ فَسَيُنفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً ثُمَّ يُغْلَبُونَ ۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ يُحْشَرُونَ
иннəль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу йуŋŋфиќуунə əмвəəлəhум лийəсуддуу 'əŋŋ-сəбиилиль-лəh, фəсəйуŋŋфиќуунəhəə c̃уммə тəкууну 'əлэйhим həсрōтəн c̃уммə йуґлəбуун, вəəльлəз̃иинə кəфəруу илəə джəhəннəмə йуhшəруун
Indeed the faithless spend their wealth to bar from the way of Allah. Soon they will have spent it, then it will be a cause of regret to them, then they will be overcome, and the faithless will be gathered toward Hell,
لِيَمِيزَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْخَبِيثَ مِنَ ٱلطَّيِّبِ وَيَجْعَلَ ٱلْخَبِيثَ بَعْضَهُۥ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فَيَرْكُمَهُۥ جَمِيعًا فَيَجْعَلَهُۥ فِى جَهَنَّمَ ۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ
лийəмиизəл-лаhуль-хōбииc̃ə минəт-тōййиби вəйəдж'əлəль-хōбииc̃ə бə'дōhу 'əлəə бə'дын фəйəркумəhу джəмии'əн фəйəдж'əлəhу фии джəhəннəм, уулəə`икə hумуль-хōōсируун
so that Allah may separate the bad ones from the good, and place the bad on one another, and pile them up together, and cast them into hell. It is they who are the losers.
قُل لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ إِن يَنتَهُواْ يُغْفَرْ لَهُم مَّا قَدْ سَلَفَ وَإِن يَعُودُواْ فَقَدْ مَضَتْ سُنَّتُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
ќул-лильлəз̃иинə кəфəруу ий-йəŋŋтəhуу йуґфəр лəhум-мəə ќōд сəлəфə вə`ий-йə'уудуу фəќōд мəдōт суннəтуль-əувəлиин
Say to the faithless, if they cease [their belligerence against the Muslims], what is already past shall be forgiven them. But if they resume [their hostilities], then the precedent of the predecessors has already come to pass.
وَقَٰتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ ٱلدِّينُ كُلُّهُۥ لِلَّهِ ۚ فَإِنِ ٱنتَهَوْاْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
вəќōōтилююhум həттəə лəə тəкуунə фитнəтуу-вəйəкуунəд-диину куллюhу лильлəh, фə`ини-ŋŋтəhəу фə`иннəл-лаhə бимəə йə'мəлююнə бəсыыр
Fight them until persecution is no more, and religion becomes exclusively for Allah. So if they desist, Allah indeed watches what they do.
