وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ

вəмəə йуґнии 'əнhу мəəлюhу из̃əə тəрōддəə

His wealth will not avail him when he perishes.

إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ

иннə 'əлэйнəə лə-ль-hудəə

Indeed guidance rests with Us,

وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْءَاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ

вə`иннə лəнəə лə-ль-əəхырōтə вəəль`уулəə

and to Us belong the world and the Hereafter.

فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ

фə`əŋŋз̃əртукум нəəрōн тəлəз̃з̃ōō

So I warn you of a blazing fire,

لَا يَصْلَىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْأَشْقَى

лəə йəслəəhəə ильлəəль-əшќōō

which none shall enter except the most wretched [of persons]

ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ

əльлəз̃ии кəз̃з̃əбə вəтəвəльлəə

—he who impugns [God’s prophets] and turns his back.

وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى

вəсəйуджəннəбуhəəль-əтќōō

The Godwary [person] will be spared of that

ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ

əльлəз̃ии йу`тии мəəлəhу йəтəзəккəə

—he who gives his wealth to purify himself

وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰٓ

вəмəə ли`əhəдин 'иŋŋдəhу мин-ни'мəтин туджзəə

and does not expect any reward from anyone,

إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ

ильлəə-бтиґōō`ə вəджhи рōббиhиль-ə'лəə

but seek only the pleasure of their Lord, the Most Exalted,
