فِيهِمَا فَٰكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ

фииhимəə фəəкиhəтуу-вəнəхлюу-вəруммəəн

In both of them will be fruits, date-palms and pomegranates.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

фəби`əййи əəлəə`и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌ

фииhиннə хōйрōōтун hисəəн

In them are maidens good and lovely.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

фəби`əййи əəлəə`и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ

hуурумм-мəќсуурōōтун фииль-хыйəəм

Houris secluded in pavilions.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

фəби`əййи əəлəə`и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ

лəм йəтмиc̃hуннə иŋŋсун ќōблəhум вəлəə джəəнн

Whom no human has touched before, nor jinn.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

фəби`əййи əəлəə`и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ

муттəки`иинə 'əлəə рōфрōфин худриу-вə'əбќōриййин hисəəн

Reclining on green cushions and lovely carpets.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

фəби`əййи əəлəə`и рōббикумəə тукəз̃з̃ибəəн

So which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

تَبَٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ

тəбəəрōкə-сму рōббикə з̃ииль-джəлəəли вəəль`икрōōм

Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Majestic and the Munificent!

إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ

из̃əə вəќō'əтиль-вəəќи'əh

When the Imminent [Hour] befalls

لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ

лэйсə ливəќ'əтиhəə кəəз̃ибəh

—there is no denying that it will befall—

خَافِضَةٌ رَّافِعَةٌ

хōōфидōтур-рōōфи'əh

[it will be] lowering and exalting.

إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ رَجًّا

из̃əə руджджəтиль-əрду рōджджə

When the earth is shaken violently,

وَبُسَّتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ بَسًّا

вəбуссəтиль-джибəəлю бəссə

and the mountains are shattered into bits

فَكَانَتْ هَبَآءً مُّنۢبَثًّا

фəкəəнəт həбəə`əмм-мумм-бəc̃c̃ə

and become scattered dust,

وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا ثَلَٰثَةً

вəкуŋŋтум əзвəəджəн c̃əлəəc̃əh

you will be three groups:

فَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ

фə`əсhəəбуль-мəймəнəти мəə əсhəəбуль-мəймəнəh

The People of the Right Hand—and what are the People of the Right Hand?!

وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ

вə`əсhəəбуль-мəш`əмəти мəə əсhəəбуль-мəш`əмəh

And the People of the Left Hand—and what are the People of the Left Hand?!

وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ

вəс-сəəбиќуунəс-сəəбиќуун

And the Foremost Ones are the foremost ones:

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ

уулəə`икəль-муќōррōбуун

they are the ones brought near [to Allah],

فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

фии джəннəəтин-нə'иим

[who will reside] in the gardens of bliss.

ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

c̃ульлəтумм-минəль-əувəлиин

A multitude from the former [generations]

وَقَلِيلٌ مِّنَ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ

вəќōлиилюмм-минəль-əəхыриин

and a few from the latter ones.

عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّوْضُونَةٍ

'əлəə суруримм-мəудуунəh

On brocaded couches

مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَٰبِلِينَ

муттəки`иинə 'əлэйhəə мутəќōōбилиин

reclining on them, face to face.
