بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

бисмиль-лəhир-рōhмəəнир-рōhиим

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 ۞ وَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ مِن جُندٍ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِينَ

вəмəə əŋŋзəльнəə 'əлəə ќōумиhи мимм-бə'диhи миŋŋ-джуŋŋдимм-минəс-сəмəə`и вəмəə куннəə муŋŋзилиин

After him We did not send down on his people a host from the sky, nor We would have sent down.

إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَٰمِدُونَ

иŋŋ-кəəнəт ильлəə сōйhəтəу-вəəhидəтəн фə`из̃əə hум хōōмидуун

It was but a single Cry, and, behold, they were stilled [like burnt ashes]!

يَٰحَسْرَةً عَلَى ٱلْعِبَادِ  ۚ مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

йəə həсрōтəн 'əлəəль-'ибəəд, мəə йə`тииhим-мир-рōсуулин ильлəə кəəнуу биhи йəстəhзи`уун

How regrettable of the servants! There did not come to them any apostle but that they used to deride him.

أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ

əлəм йəрōу кəм əhлəкнəə ќōблəhум-минəль-ќурууни əннəhум илəйhим лəə йəрджи'уун

Have they not regarded how many generations We have destroyed before them who will not come back to them?

وَإِن كُلٌّ لَّمَّا جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ

вə`иŋŋ-куллюль-лəммəə джəмии'уль-лəдəйнəə муhдōруун

And all of them will indeed be presented before Us.

وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ ٱلْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَٰهَا وَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَبًّا فَمِنْهُ يَأْكُلُونَ

вə`əəйəтуль-лəhумуль-əрдуль-мəйтəту əhйəйнəəhəə вə`əхрōджнəə минhəə həббəн фəминhу йə`кулююн

A sign for them is the dead earth, which We revive and bring forth grain out of it, so they eat of it.

وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنَّٰتٍ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَٰبٍ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْعُيُونِ

вəджə'əльнəə фииhəə джəннəəтимм-мин-нəхыылиу-вə`ə'нəəбиу-вəфəджджəрнəə фииhəə минəль-'уйуун

We make in it orchards of date palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth in it,

لِيَأْكُلُواْ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ  ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ

лийə`кулюю миŋŋ-c̃əмəриhи вəмəə 'əмилəтhу əйдииhим, əфəлəə йəшкуруун

so that they may eat of its fruit and what their hands have cultivated. Will they not then give thanks?

سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

субhəəнəль-лəз̃ии хōлəќōль-əзвəəджə кульлəhəə миммəə тумм-битуль-əрду вəмин əŋŋфусиhим вəмиммəə лəə йə'лəмуун

Immaculate is He who has created all the kinds of what the earth grows, and of themselves, and of what they do not know.

وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمُ ٱلَّيْلُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُم مُّظْلِمُونَ

вə`əəйəтуль-лəhумуль-лэйлю нəслəху минhун-нəhəəрō фə`из̃əə hум-муз̃лимуун

A sign for them is the night, which We strip of daylight, and, behold, they find themselves in the dark!

وَٱلشَّمْسُ تَجْرِى لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَّهَا  ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ

вəш-шəмсу тəджрии лимустəќōрриль-лəhəə, з̃əəликə тəќдиируль-'əзиизиль-'əлиим

The sun runs on to its place of rest: That is the ordaining of the All-mighty, the All-knowing.

وَٱلْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَٰهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَٱلْعُرْجُونِ ٱلْقَدِيمِ

вəəльќōмəрō ќōддəрнəəhу мəнəəзилə həттəə 'əəдə кəəль'урджууниль-ќōдиим

As for the moon, We have ordained its phases, until it becomes like an old palm leaf.

لَا ٱلشَّمْسُ يَنۢبَغِى لَهَآ أَن تُدْرِكَ ٱلْقَمَرَ وَلَا ٱلَّيْلُ سَابِقُ ٱلنَّهَارِ  ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِى فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ

лəəш-шəмсу йəмм-бəґии лəhəə əŋŋ-тудрикəль-ќōмəрō вəлəəль-лэйлю сəəбиќун-нəhəəр, вəкуллюн фии фəлəкий-йəсбəhуун

Neither it behooves the sun to overtake the moon, nor may the night outrun the day, and each swims in an orbit.
