وَلَوِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلْحَقُّ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ  ۚ بَلْ أَتَيْنَٰهُم بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَن ذِكْرِهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ

вəлəви-ттəбə'əль-həќќу əhвəə`əhум лəфəсəдəтис-сəмəəвəəту вəəль`əрду вəмəŋŋ-фииhинн, бəль əтəйнəəhумм-биз̃икриhим фəhум 'əŋŋ-з̃икриhим-му'ридуун

Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth would have surely fallen apart [along] with those who are in them. Indeed, We have brought them their Reminder, but they are disregardful of their Reminder.

أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ خَرْجًا فَخَرَاجُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ  ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ

əм тəс`əлюhум хōрджəн фəхōрōōджу рōббикə хōйр, вəhувə хōйрур-рōōзиќиин

Do you ask a recompense from them? Your Lord’s recompense is better, and He is the best of providers.

وَإِنَّكَ لَتَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

вə`иннəкə лəтəд'ууhум илəə сырōōтымм-мустəќиим

Indeed you invite them to a straight path,

وَإِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ عَنِ ٱلصِّرَٰطِ لَنَٰكِبُونَ

вə`иннəль-лəз̃иинə лəə йу`минуунə би-ль-əəхырōти 'əнис-сырōōты лəнəəкибуун

and those who do not believe in the Hereafter surely deviate from the path.

 ۞ وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَٰهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِم مِّن ضُرٍّ لَّلَجُّواْ فِى طُغْيَٰنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ

вəлəу рōhимнəəhум вəкəшəфнəə мəə биhим-миŋŋ-дурриль-лəлəджджуу фии туґйəəниhим йə'мəhуун

Should We have mercy upon them and remove their distress, they would surely persist, bewildered in their rebellion.

وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَٰهُم بِٱلْعَذَابِ فَمَا ٱسْتَكَانُواْ لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ

вəлəќōд əхōз̃нəəhумм-би-ль-'əз̃əəби фəмəə-стəкəəнуу лирōббиhим вəмəə йəтəдōррō'уун

We have already seized them with punishment, yet they did not humble themselves before their Lord, nor will they entreat [Him for mercy]

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًا ذَا عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ إِذَا هُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ

həттəə из̃əə фəтəhнəə 'əлэйhимм-бəəбəн з̃əə 'əз̃əəбин шəдиидин из̃əə hум фииhи мублисуун

until We open on them the gate of a severe punishment, whereupon they will be despondent in it.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ  ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ

вəhувəль-лəз̃ии əŋŋшə`ə лəкумус-сəм'ə вəəль`əбсōōрō вəəль`əф`идəh, ќōлиилəмм-мəə тəшкуруун

It is He who made for you hearing, eyesight, and hearts. Little do you thank.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى ذَرَأَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ

вəhувəль-лəз̃ии з̃əрō`əкум фииль-əрды вə`илəйhи туhшəруун

It is He who created you on the earth, and you will be mustered toward Him.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ ٱخْتِلَٰفُ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ  ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

вəhувəль-лəз̃ии йуhйии вəйумииту вəлəhу-хтилəəфуль-лэйли вəн-нəhəəр, əфəлəə тə'ќилююн

And it is He who gives life and brings death, and due to Him is the alternation of day and night. Do you not exercise your reason?
