مَا ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِن وَلَدٍ وَمَا كَانَ مَعَهُۥ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ  ۚ إِذًا لَّذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَٰهٍۭ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ  ۚ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

мəə-ттəхōз̃əл-лаhу миу-вəлəдиу-вəмəə кəəнə мə'əhу мин илəəh, из̃əль-лəз̃əhəбə куллю илəəhимм-бимəə хōлəќō вəлə'əлəə бə'дуhум 'əлəə бə'д, субhəəнəл-лаhи 'əммəə йəсыфуун

Allah has not taken any offspring, neither is there any god besides Him, for then each god would take away what he created, and some of them would surely rise up against others. Clear is Allah of what they allege!

عَٰلِمِ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ فَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

'əəлимиль-ґōйби вəш-шəhəəдəти фəтə'əəлəə 'əммəə йушрикуун

The Knower of the sensible and the Unseen, He is above having any partners that they ascribe [to Him].

قُل رَّبِّ إِمَّا تُرِيَنِّى مَا يُوعَدُونَ

ќур-рōбби иммəə турийəннии мəə йуу'əдуун

Say, ‘My Lord! If You should show me what they are promised,

رَبِّ فَلَا تَجْعَلْنِى فِى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

рōбби фəлəə тəдж'əльнии фииль-ќōумиз̃-з̃ōōлимиин

then do not put me, my Lord, among the wrongdoing lot.’

وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّرِيَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمْ لَقَٰدِرُونَ

вə`иннəə 'əлəə əн-нурийəкə мəə нə'идуhум лəќōōдируун

We are indeed able to show you what We promise them.

ٱدْفَعْ بِٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ ٱلسَّيِّئَةَ  ۚ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُونَ

идфə' бильлəтии hийə əhсəнус-сəййи`əh, нəhну ə'лəму бимəə йəсыфуун

Repel ill [conduct] with that which is the best. We know best whatever they allege.

وَقُل رَّبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَٰتِ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ

вəќур-рōбби ə'ууз̃у бикə мин həмəзəəтиш-шəйəəтыын

Say, ‘My Lord! I seek Your protection from the promptings of devils,

وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحْضُرُونِ

вə`ə'ууз̃у бикə рōбби əй-йəhдуруун

and I seek Your protection, my Lord, from their presence near me.’

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَ أَحَدَهُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ٱرْجِعُونِ

həттəə из̃əə джəə`ə əhəдəhумуль-мəуту ќōōлə рōбби-рджи'уун

When death comes to one of them, he says, ‘My Lord! Take me back,

لَعَلِّىٓ أَعْمَلُ صَٰلِحًا فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ  ۚ كَلَّآ  ۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَآئِلُهَا  ۖ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِم بَرْزَخٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ

лə'əллии ə'мəлю сōōлиhəн фиимəə тəрōкт, кəльлəə, иннəhəə кəлимəтун hувə ќōō`илюhəə, вəмиу-вəрōō`иhимм-бəрзəхун илəə йəуми йуб'əc̃уун

that I may act righteously in what I have left behind.’ ‘By no means! These are mere words that he says.’ And before them is a barrier until the day they will be resurrected.
