أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِى تُورُونَ

əфəрō`əйтумун-нəəрōль-лəтии тууруун

Have you considered the fire that you kindle?

ءَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنشِـُٔونَ

ə`əŋŋтум əŋŋшə`тум шəджəрōтəhəə əм нəhнуль-муŋŋши`уун

Was it you who caused its tree to grow, or were We the grower?

نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَٰهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَٰعًا لِّلْمُقْوِينَ

нəhну джə'əльнəəhəə тəз̃кирōтəу-вəмəтəə'əл-ли-ль-муќвиин

It was We who made it a reminder and a boon for the desert-dwellers.

فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

фəсəббиh бисми рōббикəль-'əз̃ыым

So celebrate the Name of your Lord, the All-supreme.

 ۞ فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ

фəлəə уќсиму бимəвəəќи'ин-нуджуум

I swear by the places where the stars set!

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَقَسَمٌ لَّوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ

вə`иннəhу лəќōсəмуль-лəу тə'лəмуунə 'əз̃ыым

And indeed it is a great oath, should you know.

إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرْءَانٌ كَرِيمٌ

иннəhу лəќур`əəнун кəриим

This is indeed a noble Quran,

فِى كِتَٰبٍ مَّكْنُونٍ

фии китəəбимм-мəкнуун

in a guarded Book

لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُطَهَّرُونَ

лəə йəмəссуhу ильлəəль-мутōhhəруун

—no one touches it except the pure ones—

تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

тəŋŋзиилюмм-мир-рōббиль-'əəлəмиин

sent down gradually from the Lord of all the worlds.
