فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

фəəттəќуул-лаhə вə`əтыы'уун

So be wary of Allah and obey me.

وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ

вəəттəќууль-лəз̃ии əмəддəкумм-бимəə тə'лəмуун

Be wary of Him who has provided you with whatever you know,

أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَٰمٍ وَبَنِينَ

əмəддəкумм-би`əн'əəмиу-вəбəниин

and aided you with sons and with cattle,

وَجَنَّٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ

вəджəннəəтиу-вə'уйуун

gardens and springs.

إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ

иннии əхōōфу 'əлэйкум 'əз̃əəбə йəумин 'əз̃ыым

Indeed I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous day.’

قَالُواْ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ

ќōōлюю сəвəə`ун 'əлэйнəə əвə'əз̃тə əм лəм тəкумм-минəль-вəə'из̃ыын

They said, ‘It is the same to us whether you exhort us or not.

إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

ин həəз̃əə ильлəə хулюќуль-əувəлиин

These are nothing but the traditions of the ancients,

وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ

вəмəə нəhну биму'əз̃з̃əбиин

and we will not be punished.’

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ  ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةً  ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

фəкəз̃з̃əбууhу фə`əhлəкнəəhум, иннə фии з̃əəликə лə`əəйəh, вəмəə кəəнə əкc̃əруhум-му`миниин

So they impugned him, whereupon We destroyed them. There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

вə`иннə рōббəкə лəhувəль-'əзиизур-рōhиим

Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.
