Part 26
51:7

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِ

вəс-сəмəə`и з̃əəтиль-hубук

By the sky full of adornment [with stars],

51:8

إِنَّكُمْ لَفِى قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ

иннəкум лəфии ќōулимм-мухтəлиф

indeed you are of different opinions!

51:9

يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ

йу`фəку 'əнhу мəн уфик

He who has been turned away [from the truth] is turned away from it.

51:10

قُتِلَ ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ

ќутилəль-хōррōōсуун

Perish the liars,

51:11

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ

əльлəз̃иинə hум фии ґōмрōтин сəəhуун

who are heedless in a stupor!

51:12

يَسْـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ

йəс`əлююнə əййəəнə йəумуд-диин

They ask, ‘When will be the Day of Retribution?’

51:13

يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ

йəумə hум 'əлəəн-нəəри йуфтəнуун

It is the day when they will be tormented in the Fire,

51:14

ذُوقُواْ فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ

з̃ууќуу фитнəтəкум həəз̃əəль-лəз̃ии куŋŋтумм-биhи тəстə'джилююн

[and will be told]: ‘Taste your torment. This is what you used to hasten.’

51:15

إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ

иннəль-муттəќиинə фии джəннəəтиу-вə'уйуун

Indeed the Godwary will be amid gardens and springs,

51:16

ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ  ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ

əəхыз̃иинə мəə əəтəəhум рōббуhум, иннəhум кəəнуу ќōблə з̃əəликə муhсиниин

receiving what their Lord has given them, for they had been virtuous aforetime.

51:17

كَانُواْ قَلِيلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ

кəəнуу ќōлиилəмм-минəль-лэйли мəə йəhджə'уун

They used to sleep a little during the night,

51:18

وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ

вəби-ль-əсhəəри hум йəстəґфируун

and at dawns they would plead for forgiveness,

51:19

وَفِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ

вəфии əмвəəлиhим həќќул-лис-сəə`или вəəльмəhруум

and there was a share in their wealth for the beggar and the deprived.

51:20

وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَٰتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ

вəфииль-əрды əəйəəтул-ли-ль-мууќиниин

In the earth are signs for those who have conviction,

51:21

وَفِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ  ۚ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ

вəфии əŋŋфусикум, əфəлəə тубсыруун

and in your souls [as well]. Will you not then perceive?

51:22

وَفِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ

вəфиис-сəмəə`и ризќукум вəмəə туу'əдуун

And in the sky is your provision and what you are promised.

51:23

فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ

фəвəрōббис-сəмəə`и вəəль`əрды иннəhу лəhəќќумм-миc̃лə мəə əннəкум тəŋŋтыќуун

By the Lord of the sky and the earth, it is indeed the truth, just as [it is a fact that] you speak.

51:24

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ

həль əтəəкə həдииc̃у дōйфи ибрōōhиимəль-мукрōмиин

Did you receive the story of Abraham’s honoured guests?

51:25

إِذْ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمًا  ۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ

из̃ дəхōлюю 'əлэйhи фəќōōлюю сəлəəмə, ќōōлə сəлəəмун ќōумумм-муŋŋкəруун

When they entered into his presence, they said, ‘Peace!’ ‘Peace!’ He answered, ‘[You are] an unfamiliar folk.’

51:26

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ

фəрōōґō илəə əhлиhи фəджəə`ə би'иджлин сəмиин

Then he retired to his family and brought a fat [roasted] calf,

51:27

فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ

фəќōррōбəhу илəйhим ќōōлə əлəə тə`кулююн

and put it near them. He said, ‘Will you not eat?’

51:28

فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً  ۖ قَالُواْ لَا تَخَفْ  ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٍ

фə`əуджəсə минhум хыыфəh, ќōōлюю лəə тəхōф, вəбəшшəрууhу биґулəəмин 'əлиим

Then he felt a fear of them. They said, ‘Do not be afraid!’ and they gave him the good news of a wise son.

51:29

فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ فِى صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ

фə`əќбəлəти-мрō`əтуhу фии сōррōтин фəсōккəт вəджhəhəə вəќōōлəт 'əджуузун 'əќиим

Then his wife came forward crying [with joy]. She beat her face, and said, ‘A barren old woman!’

51:30

قَالُواْ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ  ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

ќōōлюю кəз̃əəлики ќōōлə рōббук, иннəhу hувəль-həкиимуль-'əлиим

They said, ‘So has your Lord said. Indeed He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.’
