يُبَصَّرُونَهُمْ ۚ يَوَدُّ ٱلْمُجْرِمُ لَوْ يَفْتَدِى مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِئِذٍۭ بِبَنِيهِ
йубəссōруунəhум, йəвəддуль-муджриму лəу йəфтəдии мин 'əз̃əəби йəуми`из̃имм-бибəнииh
[though] they will be placed within each other’s sight. The guilty one will wish he could ransom himself from the punishment of that day at the price of his children,
وَفَصِيلَتِهِ ٱلَّتِى تُـْٔوِيهِ
вəфəсыылəтиhиль-лəтии ту`вииh
his kin, which had sheltered him
وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ يُنجِيهِ
вəмəŋŋ-фииль-əрды джəмии'əн c̃уммə йуŋŋджииh
and all those who are upon the earth, if that might deliver him.
تَدْعُواْ مَنْ أَدْبَرَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
тəд'уу мəн əдбəрō вəтəвəльлəə
It invites him, who has turned back [from the truth] and forsaken [it],
۞ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا
иннəль-иŋŋсəəнə хулиќō həлюю'ə
Indeed man has been created covetous:
وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلْخَيْرُ مَنُوعًا
вə`из̃əə мəссəhуль-хōйру мəнуу'ə
and grudging [charity] when good comes his way
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ دَآئِمُونَ
əльлəз̃иинə hум 'əлəə сōлəəтиhим дəə`имуун
those who persevere in their prayers
وَٱلَّذِينَ فِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّ مَّعْلُومٌ
вəəльлəз̃иинə фии əмвəəлиhим həќќумм-мə'лююм
and there is a known share in whose wealth
وَٱلَّذِينَ يُصَدِّقُونَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ
вəəльлəз̃иинə йусōддиќуунə бийəумид-диин
and who affirm the Day of Retribution,
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّهِم مُّشْفِقُونَ
вəəльлəз̃иинə hум-мин 'əз̃əəби рōббиhим-мушфиќуун
and those who are apprehensive of the punishment of their Lord
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّهِمْ غَيْرُ مَأْمُونٍ
иннə 'əз̃əəбə рōббиhим ґōйру мə`муун
(there is indeed no security from the punishment of their Lord)
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَٰفِظُونَ
вəəльлəз̃иинə hум лифурууджиhим həəфиз̃уун
and those who guard their private parts
إِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزْوَٰجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ
ильлəə 'əлəə əзвəəджиhим əу мəə мəлəкəт əймəəнуhум фə`иннəhум ґōйру мəлююмиин
(apart from their spouses and their slave women, for then they are not blameworthy;
فَمَنِ ٱبْتَغَىٰ وَرَآءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْعَادُونَ
фəмəни-бтəґōō вəрōō`ə з̃əəликə фə`уулəə`икə hумуль-'əəдуун
but whoever seeks beyond that—it is they who are the transgressors)
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَٰعُونَ
вəəльлəз̃иинə hум ли`əмəəнəəтиhим вə'əhдиhим рōō'уун
and those who keep their trusts and covenants,
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِشَهَٰدَٰتِهِمْ قَآئِمُونَ
вəəльлəз̃иинə hумм-бишəhəəдəəтиhим ќōō`имуун
and those who are observant of their testimonies,
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ
вəəльлəз̃иинə hум 'əлəə сōлəəтиhим йуhəəфиз̃уун
and those who are watchful of their prayers.
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍ مُّكْرَمُونَ
уулəə`икə фии джəннəəтимм-мукрōмуун
They will be in gardens, held in honour.
فَمَالِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ قِبَلَكَ مُهْطِعِينَ
фəмəəлиль-лəз̃иинə кəфəруу ќибəлəкə муhты'иин
What is the matter with the faithless that they scramble toward you,
عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ عِزِينَ
'əниль-йəмиини вə'əниш-шимəəли 'изиин
from left and right, in groups?
أَيَطْمَعُ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ أَن يُدْخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيمٍ
əйəтмə'у куллю-мри`имм-минhум əй-йудхōлə джəннəтə нə'иим
Does each man among them hope to enter the garden of bliss?
